summerTales are a duo from Sicily. On this tape they create their very original type of music with keyboard loops, acoustic guitar, chanting and lots of other instruments. summerTales' side consists of two tracks, one being a more melodic, rhythmic folk weirdness, while the other one is a calmer mix of sounds, voices and fun. The other side of this cassette has the music of Olli Aarni from Finland on it. Olli may be better known for his collage-folk project Ous Mal. Here, under his real name, he creates three ambient tracks made of samples. This music is quite minimalistic and ambient, yet very melodic. The lo-fi samples, tape hiss and vinyl crackle evoke the feelings of innocent nostalgia.
